Description
These are so cute and functional, you will want the entire collection. Our first re-editions of wooden storage boxes were inspired by those delivered to haberdashery stores when thimbles were ordered by the gross. Then boxes for thread cards, similar to the carton ones used in the past. They were followed by miniature boxes, used for buttons, pins and needles, hooks and eyes… Le Bon Marche in Paris had an exceptional haberdashery department and sold many articles in beautiful wooden boxes.
This model is decorated with a green label marked “Au Pantin – Boutons pour Pantalons” (Little Puppet – Buttons for Trousers). – Buttons for trousers miniature wooden box, inspired by those found in the catalogues “Nouveautés et autres Articles de Paris”
